SPARK is a web-based application that builds upon SSPedi and consists of two components:
a symptom screening component centered on SSPedi
a supportive care clinical practice guideline component, including guidelines for symptom management
SPARK tracks symptoms over time, allows patients, family members and health care professionals to view symptom reports, and facilitates access to supportive care clinical practice guidelines. SPARK is currently being studied in a randomized control trial that is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
